We work with suppliers whose value system is similar to ours, especially the belief in the importance of sustainability and fair trade! We source our gems from suppliers and miners who adhere to fair trade and sustainability practices, to ensure that those responsible for bringing these wonders of the earth are well compensated for their efforts, and that the mining operations have minimum impact on the environment, for the benefit of all. 

We believe that the essence of beauty is diversity, and nothing exhibits such belief more than colored gemstones that are diverse in formation and origin, yet so beautiful in shape, form and colors, each in its own merits! Whether it’s the play of color of a 10 million years old lightening ridge black opal, the calming greenness of a Columbian muzo emerald,  or the vividness of a red spinal, we ensure that our customers get the most beautiful colored gemstones out there

It takes long days and up to 10 tons of earth material to get precious opals that could fit into a shoe box! , and similar statistics apply to the other variety of gemstones we offer.  Opal Republic’s customers have independent minds, and don’t subscribe to mainstream jewelry taste dictated by market agencies and monopolies, which makes our gemstones desirable to our unique customers who always stand out and have independent minds!
